The State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit is charged with being the chief prosecuting officer of all criminal trials in the circuit. The State Attorney, with his appointed Assistants and other staff, appear in the courts to represent the interests of justice and the people. The mission statement of our agency is “To serve the community through reducing crime and helping to mitigate the catastrophic impact that crime has on victims and offenders, their families, and society as a whole. This position performs clerical work with a primary focus on intake and document processing. The role receives case-related documents, reviews materials for completeness, and ensures accurate uploading and indexing within designated systems. Work requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to exercise independent judgment when categorizing information and initiating workflow actions. The position supports internal operations by maintaining organized records, updating electronic systems, and facilitating the flow of information between staff and partner agencies. This position primarily supports internal workflows and coordination with agency partners and may serve as backup for reception and front desk operations as needed.
