About The Position

This temporary position supports an HR records project involving the review and sorting of hard copy records, electronic entry of record information, scanning and indexing of electronic files and disposition of records in accordance with established record retention guidelines. This position is based in our Springdale, Ohio office and requires on-site attendance Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexible scheduling options may be available.

Requirements

  • Attention to Detail: Reviews, enters, and indexes information accurately and consistently.
  • Self-Starter: Completes assigned work independently while following established instructions and procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrates proficiency with computers and Microsoft Excel and can quickly learn scanning equipment and electronic records systems.
  • Organization: Maintains orderly work practices and keeps physical and electronic records appropriately organized.
  • Time Management: Prioritizes assigned tasks and manages time effectively to support project deadlines.
  • Confidentiality and Professionalism: Protects sensitive information and interacts with colleagues and teammates respectfully.
  • Communication: Asks questions and escalates issues when records or instructions require clarification.
  • Candidates with a High School diploma equivalent or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move records boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • This role involves performing essential job functions such as communication, collaboration, and use of office and computer systems.
  • Responsibilities include the ability to access and review written and electronic information, and to move within the work environment and interact with workplace materials as needed to carry out job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Review hard-copy records and sort documents into established categories.
  • Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and other materials.
  • Capture record information using Microsoft Excel.
  • Scan hard-copy records and verify that the resulting electronic files are complete and legible.
  • Accurately index electronic files within the appropriate digital categories.
  • Identify records eligible for disposition by applying established records-retention instructions.
  • Protect confidential colleague and business information throughout the records-handling process.
  • Escalate questions, unclear records, or processing exceptions to the appropriate project lead.
