PT Clerical Assistant II - Library (MakerLab)
About The Position
The PT Clerical Assistant II operates in a diverse environment to help fulfill the mission, vision and values of the Library and the City of Pasadena by performing the general tasks associated with circulation duties, basic reference assistance, shelving, shelf-reading and shifting library materials. Provides assistance in the MakerLab. Assists library patrons with MakerLab equipment usage, training and support. Guides users in project design. May assist with programming, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting equipment and managing inventory. Ensures that patrons are following all safety rules and maintaining a tidy work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Texas Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Associate's or some college education preferred
- Some experience working in a library or similar setting desirable
- Experience working with children a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- American Red Cross first aid training a plus
