About The Position

This role is for a Cleanroom Technician on the 2nd shift, working Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 10 pm. The primary focus is on performing technical tests and experiments for process engineering within R&D. The technician will process test runs and prepare records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to the engineering team to identify yield problems or test new products. The position offers the potential for growth and recognition within the organization, with a values-driven culture.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in CMP preferred
  • Experience working on engineering projects, or equivalent
  • Ability to operate and interpret results from wafer metrology equipment.
  • Ability to interpret polishing end-point traces.
  • Ability to operate in a highly independent manner
  • Tolerance of ambiguity
  • Strong skills in planning and organization
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Highly accountable
  • Recognize and respond to customer needs in a collaborative efficient manner

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in an Engineering field is preferred.
  • Defectivity metrology experience a plus.
  • Statistical analysis software skills a plus (JMP, Minitab, SAS)

Responsibilities

  • Owns experiment preparation activities, including wafer preparation (measurements - thickness and defects), log sheet preparation, recipe programming
  • Handles set-up and operation of polishers (Mirra, Reflexion), cleaners and wafer metrology tools
  • Conducts polishing experiments using blanket and patterned wafers
  • Performs process and equipment troubleshooting activities during experiments, including identification of sources of polish variation
  • Owns data collection and analysis
  • Guides and provides recommendations to polish experiment feasibility and design based on hands-on experience
  • Actively participate in planning and execution of internal Cleanroom and product line based continuous improvement activities
  • Acts as a resource and collaborator with Engineers and Scientists
  • Finds opportunities to improve Cleanroom and experimental efficiency
  • Assists with evaluation and process development activities on new Cleanroom tools, including polishers, metrology equipment, or cleaning equipment
  • Keeps detailed records of experimental data and experimental methods, updating for improvements as they are made
  • Shares in responsibility for the safety of shift-coworkers
