About The Position

They provide customers with leading-edge support from prototype to production. FM Industries has locations in Fremont and Livermore, CA with multiple shift opportunities. This role involves assembling simple to complex electro-mechanical vacuum assemblies, throttle valves, sub-assemblies, cathodes, and cooling units, and performing basic leak tests. The position requires the ability to perform the tasks of a Cleanroom Technician 1, position parts according to Operational Method Sheets (OMS), confirm "O" ring seal surfaces meet finishing specifications, and fasten parts together using basic hand tools and torque wrenches.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to five years direct related electro-mechanical, vacuum experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
Responsibilities
- Assemble simple to complex electro-mechanical vacuum assemblies, throttle valves, sub-assemblies, cathodes, and cooling units.
- Perform basic leak tests.
- Must be able to perform the tasks of Cleanroom Technician 1.
- Position parts according to Operational Method Sheets (OMS).
- Confirm “O” ring seal surfaces meet finishing specifications.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners using basic hand tools and torque wrenches.
