About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. We provide customers leading-edge support from prototype to production. FM Industries has locations in Fremont and Livermore, CA with multiple shift opportunities. This role involves assembling simple to complex electro-mechanical vacuum assemblies, throttle valves, sub-assemblies, cathodes, and cooling units. The technician will also perform basic leak tests and must be able to perform all tasks of a Cleanroom Technician 1.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three to five years direct related electro-mechanical, vacuum experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
Responsibilities
- Assemble simple to complex electro-mechanical vacuum assemblies, throttle valves, sub-assemblies, cathodes, and cooling units.
- Perform basic leak tests.
- Position parts according to Operational Method Sheets (OMS).
- Confirm “O” ring seal surfaces meet finishing specifications.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners using basic hand tools and torque wrenches.
