About The Position

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE), a joint venture between Worthington Enterprises and Armstrong World Industries, is a worldwide leader in the production of suspended ceiling systems, specifically metal ceiling grids. Founded in 1992, WAVE operates under a philosophy rooted in the golden rule, fostering a strong employee-employer partnership. WAVE is currently seeking a Cleanroom Operator to join their team. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds
Able to stand 8-10 hours per day at assigned work area
Background check required

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience of machinery in a manufacturing environment, or similar
Previous job training as Level 2 Packout Operator

Responsibilities

Maintain continuous operations of clean room equipment, including machine setup and adjustments, equipment operation, and maintaining the operating schedule.
Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance production.
Perform visual and gauge-specific quality inspections of parts, and make corrective actions as required. Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications using inspection tools.
Perform basic machine preventive maintenance on equipment.
Perform production inventory counts.
Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
Perform all work in a safe manner, using proper lock-out procedures during repairs or machine adjustments. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture.
Preserve a safe work environment and work in a safe manner following all safety SOPs.
