About The Position

The Cleanroom Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and will safely provide some work direction to cleanroom staff. The Cleanroom Lead will perform janitorial duties and all duties listed on the daily schedule. They will provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by the Cleanroom Supervisor and assist the Cleanroom Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed. This role involves operating motorized cleaning equipment, tracking equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair, and scheduling clean up and repair as needed. The Cleanroom Lead will maintain daily upkeep of the assigned area, track and maintain supplies inventory, and assist the Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment. They will perform quality, service, and safety inspections, report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor, and report employee personnel and customer issues to the supervisor. Additionally, the Cleanroom Lead will monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment and supplies, correct at-risk behavior, and provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED required with 6 mo. – 1 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.
  • Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual a plus
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
  • Completed all safety and task training certification.
  • May be required to be forklift certified.

Responsibilities
