About The Position

This role is responsible for the overall appearance, curb appeal, and upkeep of properties under management with McCullough Development, Inc., under the direction of the Property Manager and/or Management. The Cleaning Technician will maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment by cleaning assigned facilities and common areas, performing turnover cleanings, and operating cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals safely and effectively. The position also involves maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting damages and unsafe conditions, and assisting with groundskeeping tasks such as snow removal, leaf raking, weed control, and brush removal. Adherence to safety standards and the use of proper protective equipment are required. The role necessitates reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, along with maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor with residents, visitors, contractors, and employees. Accurate completion and submission of daily payroll timesheets, work orders, and mileage reimbursement logs are also key responsibilities. The tasks are not limited to this list and may include other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school/GED
  • One year related custodial/housekeeping experience
  • Understanding of methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used in cleaning.
  • Ability to use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely.
  • Thorough knowledge of proper safety techniques, occupational hazards and procedures while using chemicals, power tools, hand tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of MDI emergency procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to perform work independently and prioritize work assignments.
  • Ability to clean up area after work is completed.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with employees.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively in a tactful and courteous manner with a variety of people, including residents, visitor, contractors, employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to manage interpersonal conflict situations requiring tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written directions, instructions, regulations, or procedures.
  • Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Clean assigned facilities and common areas to maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.
  • Perform turnover cleanings according to MDI guidelines and Property Manager(s) expectations.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals in a safe and effective manner.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Report damages, unsafe conditions and items needing repair for the purpose of preventing accidents, keeping the properties safe, and in a properly functioning condition.
  • Assist with snow removal/raking leaves/pulling or spraying for weeds/cutting and hauling off brush and tree limbs.
  • Abide safety standards that comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines.
  • Wear proper protective equipment while performing job duties.
  • Report to site office and be available to work daily scheduled hours.
  • Accurately complete daily payroll timesheets and work orders and submit to Property Manager.
  • Maintain accurate mileage reimbursement logs, as applicable.
