About The Position
Carlson is one of the largest retail cleaning companies in the Upper Midwest, maintaining over 240 properties in 8 states. Our headquarters is in White Bear Lake, MN. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for internal promotion. The Floor Care Technician is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet, including scrubbing, buffing, carpet extraction, and vacuuming. This role provides superior cleaning services at client locations with limited supervision and collaborates with other team members. The technician represents Carlson and interacts respectfully with customers, store personnel, and the public.
Requirements
- Availability to work on weekends
- Reliable transportation or access to public transportation
- Ability to regularly lift 45 pounds
- Ability to push and pull floor cleaning equipment over concrete, tile and carpeted floors
- Sufficient physical strength, ability and stamina to perform a variety of janitorial tasks related to care of floors
- Ability to work with a variety of cleaning products
- Ability to work night shift and/or very early morning hours as dictated by the needs of the position
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
