Cleaning Technician Floater
About The Position
Carlson is a large retail cleaning company in the Upper Midwest, maintaining over 240 properties across 8 states. This entry-level position offers opportunities for growth and promotion from within. The Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of flooring through services such as floor cleaning, stripping, waxing, and general floor and carpet care. This role involves working at Carlson client locations with limited supervision and collaborating with other team members. Cleaning Technicians are also considered for future Supervisor and Manager roles. Mileage and travel time between store locations are compensated.
Requirements
- Availability to work on weekends.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- Willing to travel.
- Ability to regularly lift 45 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull floor cleaning equipment over concrete, tile and carpeted floors.
- Must possess sufficient physical strength, ability and stamina to perform a variety of janitorial tasks related to care of floors.
- Ability to work with a variety of cleaning products.
- Ability to work night shift and/or very early morning hours as dictated by the needs of the position.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
- Traveling to different stores to perform cleaning and waxing projects.
- Strip and wax floors and cleans carpeting.
- Responsible for projects assigned by Manager and Supervisors.
- Training of new employees.
- Fill in for absent employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
