About The Position

The Cleaning Crew position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the store and surrounding property. The role includes cleaning floors, windows, doors, restrooms, and fixtures; restocking supplies; responding to cleanup requests; and reporting needed repairs. Team members are expected to follow safety procedures and perform their duties in a way that minimizes injury risk. Compensation starts at $16 per hour. The available schedules are 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM or 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and/or 1–3 months of experience.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

Vacuum, mop, sweep, clean, and empty waste baskets.
Clean windows and doors.
Restock cleaning supplies and restroom items.
Operate commercial cleaning equipment.
Answer and respond to phone calls about spills, wet floors, and general cleanup.
Pick up trash in the parking lot and around the outside of the store.
Sanitize facility restrooms and their fixtures.
Report needed repairs to the supervisor, including leaky faucets, toilets, loose tiles, or broken fixtures.
Maintain attention to detail to ensure all areas of the property are clean and meet Scheels' appearance expectations.
Follow safety procedures and perform job duties in a way that minimizes the risk of injury.
