Cleaner (Environmental Services)
About The Position
The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the facility. The role supports daily operations by ensuring production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces meet company cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards. This position operates in a manufacturing environment and requires regular movement throughout the facility, including production areas, offices, restrooms, and employee common areas. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required as needed. The schedule is flexible to accommodate core business hours and manufacturing operations; scheduled hours are based on facility needs and may vary. Occasional overtime, early morning, evening, or weekend hours may be required.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and workplace safety.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform frequent bending, standing, walking, and reaching.
- Dependable attendance and a positive work ethic.
Nice To Haves
- Previous cleaning, custodial, environmental services, or facilities experience.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize facility areas, including production floors, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, hallways, conference rooms, and common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, breakroom, and cafeteria areas, including tables, countertops, sinks, appliances, and floors.
- Restock and monitor facility essentials such as soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and hand sanitizer.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform routine floor care.
- Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
- Promptly report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to management.
- Follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and facility support tasks as assigned.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning products and notify management when supplies need replenishment.
