About The Position
As a CBRE-GDS Commercial Cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning duties and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas. Duties include mopping, sweeping, and disposing of trash, as well as cleaning designated high-traffic areas and building spaces. The role follows established cleaning procedures and company standards, including procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment. It uses basic work routines and existing procedures to address straightforward problems, with limited discretion. The position is temporary for 150 days, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Two years of job-related experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving furniture.
- Ability to follow basic work routines.
- Ability to communicate.
- Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Reliable and responsible, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily cleaning support to supervisor-designated high-traffic areas of the building.
- Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and soap.
- Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
- Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Keep cleaning supplies in a safe, secure area.
- Complete the standardized cleaning process according to company standards.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
- Follow basic work routines and standards.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, with limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
