Cleaner - Temporary Position
About The Position
As a CBRE Government and Defense Services Commercial Cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning duties and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas. The role includes daily cleaning of high-traffic areas, restocking bathrooms, cleaning floors and surfaces, dusting and moving furniture, and cleaning windows and mirrors. You will follow company cleaning standards and procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment, keep supplies safely stored, attend staff meetings and required training, and use established routines to address straightforward problems. The position is temporary for 150 days, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Two years of job-related experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving furniture.
- Ability to follow basic work routines.
- Ability to communicate.
- Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Reliability and responsibility, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily cleaning support to supervisor-designated high-traffic areas of the building.
- Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
- Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other assigned areas.
- Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Keep cleaning supplies in a safe, secure area.
- Complete the standardized cleaning process according to company standards.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
- Follow basic work routines and standards and use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
