About The Position

The Part-Time Evening Cleaner is responsible for delivering customer service by keeping the assigned building clean and welcoming. The role includes cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and kitchenettes or break rooms; maintaining floors, furniture, equipment, windows, and glass; removing trash and recyclables; and notifying appropriate personnel when cleaning supplies or equipment are needed. Other related duties may be assigned. The position is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is performed in person.

Requirements

A high-school diploma or General Education Degree is preferred but not required.
At least one year of experience in janitorial or related work is preferred but not required.
A valid Ohio driver's license is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform the listed physical duties, including frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect restroom sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces; polish metal fixtures and replenish restroom supplies.
Clean and disinfect kitchenette or break-room sinks, countertops, tables, floors, chairs, refrigerators, and other appliances; replenish supplies.
Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors and remove debris; other floor-care work may include scrubbing, steam cleaning, shampooing, waxing, or polishing.
Dust, clean, and/or polish furniture and equipment, vacuum upholstered furniture as needed, and remove dust and cobwebs from walls, doors, and windowsills.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass and remove smudges.
Empty wastebaskets, trash receptacles, and recyclables and transport them to the proper disposal area.
Notify appropriate personnel when supplies or equipment are needed for cleaning duties.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
