About The Position

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the general tidiness and organization of the store’s retail, back stock, and office spaces. This role requires working self-sufficiently and ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

Empty all garbage and recycling bins in retail, back stock, and office spaces, including those behind registers, coffee station, deli island, bulk kombucha, baked goods area, and any bins outside under or around the pavilion.
Roll-up rugs, vacuum, and return them to their proper places on the floor at the end of the shift.
Clean behind registers, remove mats, sweep the area, mop the area, and return mats.
Sweep the store entry between automatic doors and wipe down the black railing inside and outside.
Mop the entry and put up "wet floor" signs where needed.
Sweep the main retail floor, including aisles, with attention to onion, coffee, and bulk areas.
Clean and disinfect the downstairs bathroom.
Re-stock toilet paper, paper towel dispenser, and hand soap as needed in the downstairs bathroom.
Mop the downstairs bathroom floor at the end of the day, ensuring the mop water is changed with fresh, clean water.
Sweep and mop the dock and hallway in the back stock space.
Sweep the deli floor, ensuring to sweep underneath the island, shelves, and sink.
Mop the deli floor, ensuring the mop water is changed with fresh, clean water.
Sweep the staircase, bathroom, break space, desk area, and counting room in the office space.
Mop the bathroom floor and staircase daily, and the desk and break area weekly.
Disinfect/wipe down the employee break table.
Clean and disinfect the employee bathroom.
Re-stock toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap when needed in the employee bathroom.
Rinse mop heads and mop buckets.
Neatly return all brooms, butlers, and vacuums to the cleaning closet.
Assist customers with product questions in a prompt, friendly manner, directing them kindly and quickly to other store staff when unsure of product location or how to answer customer questions.
