About The Position

Red Coats, Inc. is hiring part-time cleaning personnel for the Richmond area, at or near 7053 Celebration Park Ave, North Chesterfield, VA 23225. The role includes floor-technician work and general cleaning. Floor technicians maintain clean, safe, and sanitary floors using appropriate tools and techniques, including stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, and vacuuming. They may work with specialized floor types and equipment, follow safety procedures, and report maintenance needs. The cleaner performs cleaning duties throughout rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. Applicants must have prior floor-work and cleaning experience and be flexible to assist with other cleaning duties as needed.

Requirements

At least one year of floor-technician experience.
Prior experience safely stripping, scrubbing, and recoating vinyl floors; extracting carpets; pressure washing; and operating automatic scrubbers and other floor machines.
Prior cleaning experience.
Flexibility to help with other cleaning duties as needed.
Eligibility to work in the United States.
Ability to read English.
Ability to pass a background and driver's-license screening.
Must be over 18 years of age.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Sweep floors.
Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Polish metalwork.
Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replenish bathroom supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain floors using appropriate techniques and equipment, including stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
Follow safety procedures and report maintenance needs.
