Clean-Up Laborer - 2nd shift - Heavy Lifting

Smithfield is seeking a Clean-Up Laborer for the 2nd shift. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean and safe production environment. Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Capable of dumping 500lb dumpsters.
Responsibilities
- Routinely performs clean-up projects including cleaning pipes, lights, beams, floors, line belts or conveyors and other production equipment as needed during the shift.
- Scrapes rusty areas, primes and paints as needed.
- Empties trash throughout the day into dumpsters and takes to East dumpsters and takes to East dock.
- Follows assigned clean-up project list.
- May use hand truck and floor scrubber for assorted duties.
- Removes empties, cleans and replaces inedible containers daily as needed.
- Wipes condensation.
- Keeps department and equipment clean and supplied with cleaning utensils and supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.
