The Clean Room Machinery Mover (Rigger) sets up, assembles, and disassembles specialty machinery and tools, selecting suitable rigging gear and equipment based on the machinery’s size, weight, dimensions, and movement area. The role safely secures machinery, tools, and equipment for relocation or transportation, and may control, manipulate, fabricate, or repair machinery-moving and support structures. Communication with equipment operators and others may use hand, flag, or verbal signals. When not performing machinery-moving work, the employee may drive a commercial vehicle, perform maintenance, assist with warehouse activities, or undertake other necessary tasks. In clean-room settings, the role involves moving microchip or semiconductor facility equipment in a highly sensitive, multi-craft work environment. Duties include unloading trucks with a forklift, uncrating equipment, and cleaning up and disposing of crating materials. Employees use appropriate clean-room PPE and follow customer procedures, safety protocols, and ISO clean-room standards. The position requires a safety-focused, detail-oriented team member who is able to learn and use machinery-moving equipment and tools. This is physical, hands-on work involving activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds. The role may involve working at varying heights, around moving machinery, in non-temperature-controlled environments or outdoors in varied weather, and on uneven terrain. Clean-room PPE and personal hygiene requirements may apply for large portions of a shift, and strict adherence to clean-room protocols is required.
