About The Position

The Process Engineer supports the design and service of utility and industrial boilers as part of the Process and Controls Engineering Team and the Steam Power Clean Combustion Parts and Services business. The role develops tenders, performs detailed studies, and leads contract execution. It works cross-functionally to develop process solutions based on customer needs and solve complex problems across boiler product lines, with a focus on boiler thermal sizing and process assessments. The engineer may work as a contributor or task leader and is expected to be analytical, decisive, and collaborative. The position handles customer requests ranging from engineering inquiries and thermal studies to complex upgrades, including pressure-part materials, equipment upgrades, fuel conversions, emissions reductions, and heat-rate improvements. It performs combustion and process computations, develops steam-generator performance guarantees, evaluates project risks, supports commissioning and testing, and provides engineering selections and deliverables to project teams. The role also contributes technical expertise, documentation, technical reviews, and support for colleagues. Domestic travel to customer sites is less than 10%. This is a remote position. The role requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or another engineering discipline and at least six years of relevant work experience.
