About The Position

This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency. The CLC Compounding Manager is primarily responsible for leading a team to ensure productivity and alignment with departmental goals. You will plan, direct, and monitor production activities, liaise with various departments, manage production line maintenance, and ensure a safe work environment. Leadership, time management, communication, and team coordination skills are essential to drive operational efficiency and team performance at our Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, TX. All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training. Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+1 yr)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of relevant experience
  • 3 Years of demonstrated leadership

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring productivity and alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor production activities to meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate labor/capital resources.
  • Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management, driving talent development, ensuring positive associate relations, enhancing associate engagement, recognizing achievements, and driving a strong safety culture.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance and downtime to minimize disruptions.
  • Lead or participate in quality investigations and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and develop pipeline talent.
  • Make operational decisions impacting team performance and operational efficiency.
