About The Position

This position is responsible for professional instruction designed to provide academic, social, physical, and skills development for students in specific grades or subject areas, preparing them to be successful citizens and workers in the 21st century. The position is governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement. Proof of education, training, and/or experience is required. The stated degree equivalency formula is: Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience; Master’s Degree = 6 years plus required years of experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Endorsement in the grade or subject taught.
• Valid Tennessee certificate.
• Must be highly qualified.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.
• Proof of education, training, and/or experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional instruction to develop students academically, socially, physically, and in skills within assigned grades or subject areas.
• Prepare students to be successful citizens and workers in the 21st century.
