The role involves planning and implementing learning environments and experiences for children, tracking their development, and maintaining communication with parents. The teacher will utilize specific curriculum systems and frameworks, including the Creative Curriculum System, UMOS School Readiness Plan, and Head Start Early Learning Outcome Framework. Responsibilities include conducting home visits, parent-teacher conferences, developmental screenings, and assessments. The teacher will also implement Individual Education Plans (IEP) or Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) for children with disabilities and maintain various required documentation. Communication with families is a key aspect, adhering to the PFCE Framework. The role also involves implementing the Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and adhering to health and safety policies. Positive guidance strategies and active supervision are essential. Collaboration with other staff, attendance at meetings and trainings, and potential assistance in training other staff are also part of the role.
