The Classroom Teacher III is responsible for implementing the Creative Curriculum System, UMOS School Readiness Plan, and the Head Start Early Learning Outcome Framework. This role involves planning and implementing indoor and outdoor learning environments and experiences, daily activity plans, field trips, and transition activities. The teacher will also ensure the collection and timely online entry of classroom observations and documentation, complete assessment finalization checkpoints, and use results to create/update individualized plans in conjunction with parents. They will implement Individual Education Plans (IEP) or Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) for children with disabilities, maintain required documentation, and communicate with families regarding developmental progress. The position also includes implementing and documenting the Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), adhering to health and safety policies, participating in the generation of non-federal shares, using positive guidance strategies, and demonstrating active supervision. Collaboration with other staff for child arrivals/departures, environment setup/cleanup, and communication is essential. The teacher will attend staff meetings, trainings, and center activities, and may assist in training other teaching staff. Other duties as assigned.
