About The Position

The Early Language and Literacy Initiative (ELLI®) is a high-quality, interdisciplinary early childhood program dedicated to closing the early learning achievement gap by embedding developmentally appropriate language and literacy into play-based STEAM experiences for children from birth to age 5. Classroom Support Educators work as part of a consistent 3-teacher classroom team, helping facilitate curriculum, maintain a safe and stimulating environment, and build strong relationships with children and families. Every classroom is staffed with 3 educators working side by side.

Requirements

High School Diploma, or currently working toward a CDA or Associate's Degree
Minimum one (1) year of experience working with children

Nice To Haves

Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems and software
Bilingual Spanish/English

Responsibilities

Support the daily management of classroom operations, including staff and children, in compliance with NAEYC standards and state and local licensing regulations.
Support daily implementation of ELLI-aligned, play-based learning experiences by following the structured curriculum and embracing each child's individual capabilities.
Ensure the health and safety of children under your active supervision at all times.
Support children's daily routines, including meals, toileting, transitions, outdoor play, and rest time.
Build positive, welcoming relationships with families through daily interactions and participation in parent events.
Collaborate with your 2 co-teachers as part of a consistent classroom team to support ELLI's research-based curriculum.
