About The Position

The Classroom Support Assistant Level 4 is a member of the classroom support team that plays a key role in supporting classroom teachers to ensure that all students with diverse learning needs can access and participate in the curriculum and activities to achieve the academic goals and social skills required for independent learning and confident participation.

Requirements

• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
• Certificate III in School-based Education Support or be undertaking an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) university program of study or experience as Classroom and Learning Support Assistant
• Accreditation in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment

Responsibilities

• Supporting classroom teachers to ensure that all students with diverse learning needs can access and participate in the curriculum and activities.
• Helping students achieve academic goals and social skills required for independent learning and confident participation.
