About The Position
Knoxville Montessori School is seeking a dependable, collaborative Classroom Assistant to support students and guides in a Montessori classroom. Classroom placement will be determined according to the selected candidate’s experience, strengths, and the needs of the school. The Classroom Assistant helps maintain a safe, organized, and respectful learning environment while supporting student independence and the daily work of the classroom.

Responsibilities
- Actively supervising students throughout the school day
- Supporting classroom routines, transitions, lunch, recess, and dismissal
- Assisting students while encouraging age-appropriate independence
- Preparing, organizing, and caring for classroom materials and environments
- Reinforcing expectations and redirecting behavior consistently
- Following the direction of and collaborating with the lead guide
- Communicating relevant student information promptly and professionally
- Following school safety, confidentiality, and student-support procedures
- Participating in required meetings, training, and school events
