About The Position
Want a job where you actually make a difference? As a BrightBee classroom substitute, you will support the full group instruction of students at our partner sites in the Detroit area. We are partnered with UPrep and DAAS to find substitute teachers across all grade levels and content areas.
Requirements
- Minimum of 60 college credits to apply for Michigan sub permit.
- Prior experience working with K-12 students in educational settings.
- Availability for school day (7am-4pm).
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and youth.
- Alignment to the mission of supporting workers, students, and schools while promoting academic success.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to varying classroom environments, student needs, and instructional approaches.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- Pass a background check, livescan, and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances prior to working with students.
- Authorization to contact former employers.
