Discovery Kidzone is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Classroom Specialist / Floater Teacher to join our team at DKZ West in Bozeman. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with different age groups, supporting teachers, and staying active throughout the day. No previous childcare experience is required. Paid training and ongoing support are provided! Whether you're starting your career in early childhood education or looking to expand your classroom experience, Discovery Kidzone will help you develop the skills and confidence you need to succeed.

Requirements

  • At least 16 years old
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Comfortable working with different age groups
  • Caring, patient, dependable, flexible, and organized
  • Positive and able to adapt to changing classroom needs
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Willing to learn and complete required Montana licensing and training requirements
  • CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous childcare experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting classrooms and age groups throughout the center
  • Assisting with teacher breaks, classroom transitions, and daily schedule coverage
  • Supporting daily routines including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting
  • Engaging children through storytelling, music, movement, crafts, games, and hands-on activities
  • Encouraging positive behavior, social skills, independence, and confidence
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning experiences
  • Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions
  • Helping maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom environments
  • Collaborating with teachers and center leadership to meet classroom needs
  • Communicating professionally with coworkers and families when appropriate
