About The Position

Discovery Kidzone is looking for a caring, flexible, and energetic Classroom Specialist / Floater Teacher to join our team in Bozeman. This position gives you the opportunity to work with different age groups, support teachers, build relationships with children, and experience different classrooms throughout the center. If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and staying active, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! No previous childcare experience required. We provide paid training and ongoing support!

Requirements

  • At least 16 years old
  • Caring, patient, dependable, and flexible
  • Comfortable working with different age groups
  • Positive and able to adapt to changing classroom needs
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Organized and attentive to children's needs
  • Interested in early childhood education
  • Willing to complete required Montana licensing and training requirements
  • CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous childcare experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting different classrooms and age groups as needed
  • Helping with teacher breaks, classroom transitions, and schedule coverage
  • Supporting daily routines including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting
  • Engaging children through stories, music, games, crafts, movement, and hands-on activities
  • Encouraging positive social interactions and helping children work through conflicts
  • Supporting classroom curriculum and learning activities
  • Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and safe classroom environments
  • Working closely with teachers and center leadership to meet classroom needs
  • Communicating professionally with coworkers and families
