About The Position

The Classroom Paraeducator will provide instructional assistance and support to students in assigned classrooms at Parkside Elementary School, under the direction of teachers and the building principal. This role involves following daily lesson plans, preparing classroom materials, assisting students, and performing other assigned duties. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week during the school year, working 175 days.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of college (48 hours) or Associate's Degree (or higher) preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with students and staff.
• Ability to follow instructions provided by the teacher and supervisor.
• Team oriented.
• Ability to work in dynamic, diverse settings.
• Willingness to adapt to specific or new working situations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make classroom preparations.
