About The Position
Richland County First Steps is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and support to families with infants and toddlers. We are looking for a dedicated Classroom Floater to join our Early Head Start team and help create a nurturing, engaging environment for children aged eight weeks to three years.
Requirements
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and diverse families.
- Knowledge of child development, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos.
- Ability to pass criminal and background checks.
Nice To Haves
- Infant-Toddler CDA credential, ECD 101 completion, or a related course is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with feeding, diapering, dressing, and playtime.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate classroom and outdoor environment.
- Encourage parental involvement and assist with parent conferences and home visits.
- Help execute weekly lesson plans and assess children's development.
- Follow Head Start, First Steps, DSS, DHEC, and CACFP standards and regulations.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation.
