Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.’s Floater position is a flexible team member responsible for supporting multiple departments throughout the manufacturing process as needed. This role helps maintain workflow, productivity, quality, and efficiency by filling in where coverage or additional manpower is required. Floaters must be dependable, adaptable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn a variety of tasks across the facility.

Requirements

  • Measuring skills on a tape measure to the nearest 1/16th of an inch.
  • Experience operating woodworking or production equipment
  • Listening and communication skills.
  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to learn multiple production processes quickly
  • Previous experience working in a cabinet shop or woodworking/manufacturing environment required
  • Strong understanding of cabinet production processes and shop workflow
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different tasks and departments
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills and processes
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull materials as required by the position
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift

Responsibilities

  • Assist in multiple production departments based on daily operational needs
  • Fill in for absent employees or help areas experiencing increased workload
  • Perform assigned production tasks safely and efficiently
  • Maintain quality standards and follow all work instructions and procedures
  • Help keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards
  • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery as trained
  • Support team leaders and supervisors with special projects or process improvements
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding production needs
  • Meet productivity expectations while maintaining attention to detail
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
