About The Position

As a LifeWise Classroom Assistant, you will support the LifeWise teacher in the classroom and develop positive relationships with students. The role helps provide an engaging, meaningful, and organized classroom experience. Although the responsibilities mirror those of a program volunteer, this is a paid position. The position is classified as non-exempt (hourly) and part-time.

Requirements

Have a mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the “What We Believe” section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
Actively participate in and be committed to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the “What We Believe” section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

Assist the LifeWise teacher as needed and directed.
Gather, distribute, and organize supplies.
Make copies and prepare activities.
Participate in class games, activities, and discussions.
Track attendance records and complete other administrative tasks.
Help with classroom management as needed and directed.
Support the teacher in redirecting disruptive students.
Ensure students’ safety and well-being at all times.
Guide students during class activities, assignments, and transitions.
Serve students with special needs or those requiring extra support.
Model positive behavior and godly character.
Display enthusiasm for lessons and activities.
Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
Develop relationships with students by learning their names and following up on their stories, interests, prayer requests, and other matters.
Chaperone children to and from LifeWise classes as needed.
Complete Classroom Volunteer training.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
