About The Position

Chambliss Center for Children is hiring a Part-Time Classroom Assistant to support children from infancy through age 4 in an early learning program located within Soddy Elementary School. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants a schedule that closely follows the Hamilton County Schools calendar. This program is part of a partnership between Chambliss Center for Children and Hamilton County Schools to increase access to quality early learning opportunities for children and families in our community.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check
• Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn

Nice To Haves

• Childcare or youth experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Help create a safe, caring, and engaging classroom environment
• Support children's learning through daily activities and play experiences
• Assist teachers with classroom routines and supervision
• Encourage positive interactions among children
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Build strong relationships with families, coworkers, and school partners
