About The Position

As a Classroom Aide - Head Start in Watertown, SD, you’ll help create a safe, engaging space where young children can learn, grow, and feel confident. This part-time role exists to strengthen classroom routines and support early learning moments that matter. You’ll arrive to a classroom that’s gearing up for discovery—greeting kids as they settle in, shifting smoothly between small-group moments and playful learning. The pace stays lively: quick transitions, lots of encouragement, and plenty of teamwork with the lead teacher. By midday you’re resetting spaces, celebrating little wins, and helping keep the room calm and welcoming. You’ll head out knowing the day moved fast—and your presence helped make it feel steady for every child.

Requirements

• Genuine interest in working with young children and families
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability, patience, and sound judgment
• Ability to follow classroom and program procedures consistently
