About The Position

Bridgewell is a social and human services organization supporting people with disabilities and other life challenges. The Classroom Aide 3 provides one-to-one support to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities, assisting them with activities of daily living. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (40 hours per week).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities, in a developmental training program, or in a related role.
• Knowledge and understanding of normalization principles, behavior management, and human rights.
• Valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to climb stairs frequently, lift up to 50 pounds, and drive a vehicle.
• Normal range of eyesight and hearing, with or without corrective equipment.
• Acceptable CORI results according to Bridgewell policy.
• Maintain appropriate certifications, including FA/CPR and PABC.

Responsibilities

• Work with and train individuals on specific Day Services Plan objectives.
• Collect data on each individual's goals.
• Document medical data or target behaviors daily.
• Participate in general program duties, including arrivals, breaks, lunches, and departures.
• Help maintain the program, follow the cleaning schedule, and report maintenance issues.
• Protect individuals' rights and maintain the confidentiality of their information.
• Complete administrative duties as assigned.
• Participate in required meetings.
• Maintain required certifications, including FA/CPR and PABC.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
