About The Position

Teachstone is seeking a CLASS Observation Specialist to join the Observation Services team. This role is for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service and people skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The specialist will conduct CLASS observations (in-person, remote live, and/or video), audit CLASS data and feedback reports, provide reliability support for CLASS observers, and conduct CLASS training across various age levels. The position requires fluency in English and Spanish and may involve up to 75% travel within an assigned region, potentially including overnight and weekend travel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, Child Development or Education preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong Knowledge of and experience with the CLASS methodology required
CLASS certification in Pre-K, Infant & Toddler tools
Experience in presenting educational materials and/or facilitating training for adults preferred
Excellent Excel and Google Sheet skills; proficient in using standard Google office software such as Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, and presentations
Fluency in English and Spanish required
Excellent interpersonal skills, including a professional and diplomatic demeanor
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening
Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities and changing expectations
Enjoy working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, team-based environment
Think at both a big-picture and detailed level
Comfortable working in person, in the cloud, etc.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of and experience with the CLASS methodology
Multilingual
Experience with Slack, Google Mail, AirTable, Asana, and Toggl
Experience with Learning Management Systems (i.e, Canvas)

Responsibilities

Provide CLASS reliability support to CLASS observers
Conduct CLASS Observation Trainings for contracted observers serving the Observation Services Team
Develop and support strong working relationships with observers and other team members
Support with CLASS written feedback audits
Conduct in-person and video CLASS observations, including post-observation data entry
Complete ongoing fidelity checks, including calibrations
Work collaboratively with the Director, Observation Services Managers, and other project team staff, as needed, to support consistent service delivery and achieve project goals and department KPI’s
Assist project team with day-of site communications (emails and phone calls), by serving as liaison between sites and project team
Document efficiencies for conducting observations
Support various observation projects simultaneously
Other duties as assigned
