Class G Security Officer
About The Position
Ark Resource Group is accepting applications from qualified Florida Class G Security Officers for employment opportunities throughout Broward County and Palm Beach County. Opportunities may include armed-security assignments at residential communities, commercial properties, gated facilities, offices, hotels, casinos, ports, warehouses, industrial facilities, healthcare locations, special events, and other secured environments. Qualified applicants may be considered for current and upcoming opportunities based on experience, location, schedule availability, licensing, certifications, specialized training, and individual employer requirements.
Requirements
- Valid Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License
- Applicable underlying Florida security or qualifying professional license required for the position
- Current firearms qualification/requalification documentation as applicable
- Required security and firearms training documentation
- Valid government-issued identification
- Valid documentation establishing authorization to work in the United States
- Verifiable employment history
- Professional references
- Reliable transportation to assigned work locations
- Ability to work the schedule required by the hiring employer
- Ability to meet specific armed-security assignment requirements
- Current Florida Class G credentials
- Security experience appropriate to the assignment
- Professional communication skills

Responsibilities
- Providing professional armed-security services at assigned locations
- Monitoring entrances, exits, buildings, facilities, or designated areas
- Controlling access to secured or restricted locations
- Checking identification and visitor authorization
- Operating gatehouses or access-control stations
- Conducting foot or vehicle patrols
- Monitoring CCTV and surveillance systems
- Protecting employees, residents, guests, visitors, facilities, or property
- Maintaining accurate security and incident reports
- Observing and reporting suspicious activity
- Responding appropriately to security incidents and emergencies
- Following post orders and site-specific procedures
- Communicating with supervisors, property representatives, law enforcement, or emergency services when necessary
- Maintaining professional conduct, appearance, and situational awareness
- Following applicable employer procedures governing firearms and security equipment
