About The Position

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a full-time, permanent Class C Driver to support local healthcare routes in the Litchfield, Illinois area. The driver collects and transports medical waste and sharps containers, operates company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks, and provides professional customer service at healthcare facilities. The role is Monday through Friday on the first shift, from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. The position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid as $1,000 after 30 days and $2,000 after 90 days of employment. Hourly pay depends on license type: $26 for non-CDL, $27 for CDL A or B, and $28 for CDL with a HAZMAT endorsement. Full-time roles include benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one. The company provides healthcare safety systems and regulated waste collection and treatment services.

Requirements

• Valid Class C driver's license, a clean driving record, and a DOT medical card.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
• Familiarity with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
• Confidence completing Level 1–3 DOT road checks.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and proven tenure with past employers.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect, transport, and store medical waste and sharps containers.
• Operate company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
• Manage assigned local routes and provide timely, reliable service.
• Complete deliveries according to schedule and communicate route changes or issues.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance, including logs and roadside inspections.
• Load and unload containers throughout the day, including heavy lifting.
• Organize and prioritize the truck based on route needs.
• Build positive relationships with healthcare customers through professional, friendly service.
