Class C Driver
About The Position
The Class C Driver is an active, safety-sensitive driving role supporting daily operations across multiple locations. The driver operates stingers and box trucks, loads and unloads freight, and moves equipment and materials where needed. The role provides operational support to CDL drivers and field teams, helping maintain service flow, site readiness, and daily efficiency. It requires focus, accountability, independent work, and close coordination with dispatch. The position is based in Phelan, California, and involves local routes. The work is hands-on and may include outdoor work around active operations. Schedules are full-time, with daytime and early-morning start times depending on assignment; overtime may be available based on operational needs. The hourly pay range is $17–$18.
Requirements
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push objects weighing over 50 pounds.
- Strong safety awareness and dependable work ethic.
- Comfort working outdoors and around active operations.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience driving Class C trucks is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class C vehicles, including stingers and box trucks, across assigned routes and locations.
- Load and unload freight, containers, and materials as required.
- Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays, arrivals, or equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and complete required documentation and reports.
