About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building materials. The driver is responsible for keeping deliveries safe from departure at the facility through completion at each job site, serving customers professionally, and following assigned schedules and directives. The role may also include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials. It does not require over-the-road travel.

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL or higher.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Must complete pre-employment and random drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each delivery step by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
• Inspect the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler on material placement and unloading.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice upon delivery completion and collect the full amount due for cash-on-delivery deliveries.
• Perform warehouse duties as assigned, including loading and unloading materials on or off trucks or into the warehouse.
