About The Position

Pet Food Experts is hiring a regional driver to deliver pet food and supplies to independent retailers. The role involves driving assigned local and regional routes across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, and Virginia, with routes extending as far west as Columbus and Cleveland and as far north as Rochester, Buffalo, and New York City’s four boroughs. Drivers average 400 miles and 15 stops per route. Start times vary by route, generally between 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM, and drivers should expect at least a 10-hour workday. Routes include highway miles, rural roads, and congested city driving. Drivers are expected to complete New York City routes as needed; an additional $100 bonus recognizes the extra time and effort these routes may require.

This is a hands-on delivery role. Drivers unload product using pallet or hand jacks, deliver inside retailers, maintain accurate delivery paperwork in accordance with state and federal rules, and provide customer service. The equipment includes Freightliner, Volvo, Hino, and International trucks, with automatic and manual transmissions, daycab tractors, 26-foot box trucks, and liftgates and reefer units on select routes. The company describes the work as consistent year-round, with schedules designed to keep drivers home when it matters and no scheduled weekends.

Compensation and benefits include competitive hourly pay, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a safe-driving bonus of up to $3,200 per year, medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k), paid time off accruing at three weeks annually from the first day and available for use after 90 days, safety footwear reimbursement, and employee discounts on pet food and supplies. Requirements

• CDL Class B license.
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate.
• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and repeatedly get in and out of the truck.
• Solid customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a physical, drug test, background check, and MVR review.
• Comfort with unloading product and entering and exiting the truck throughout the day.
