About The Position

A Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck and provides prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The driver ensures the vehicle meets Company safety standards before operation, follows all Company, state, and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports so defects can be repaired promptly. The role also involves serving assigned customer routes, transporting collected waste to designated disposal sites, maintaining the vehicle, and completing required reports. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
Good customer service skills and a professional, courteous, cooperative, honest, and trustworthy approach.

Responsibilities

Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls; report safety issues.
Safely operate a heavy truck along assigned routes and to disposal sites, using route sheets and maps to service assigned customers.
Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of collected material at designated facilities.
Interact courteously and professionally with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure routes are serviced promptly.
Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them according to departmental procedures.
Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable material.
Clean areas affected by accidental waste spills in accordance with safety standards and policies.
Monitor vehicle condition, maintain operational readiness, and clean waste from the packer blade and truck body where appropriate on disposal trips.
Complete route and productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other required reports.
Meet departmental productivity standards for timely and efficient customer service.
Follow required safety policies and procedures and participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
