We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Class B CDL Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will safely transport and deliver building materials and products to customer locations while providing outstanding customer service and representing our company with professionalism. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a strong safety record, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries, and building positive relationships with customers. Requirements

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of delivery driving experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Card within five (5) days of request.
  • Ability to meet company motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, including fewer than five moving violations within the past five years.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of CDL driving experience.
  • Experience delivering building materials, lumber, roofing products, or other construction-related materials.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and cargo securement practices.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles to transport and deliver products to customer job sites, businesses, and residential locations.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload materials in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations.
  • Verify delivery orders, inspect products for accuracy, and obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery.
  • Maneuver vehicles safely into loading and unloading areas while ensuring proper positioning of equipment and materials.
  • Assist customers with unloading materials while taking precautions to protect products, equipment, and customer property.
  • Serve as a professional company representative by providing exceptional customer service and addressing customer concerns in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, inspections, and required transportation documentation.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Utilize handheld devices and electronic systems to maintain compliance with Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements.
  • Perform product return pickups, credit returns, and related documentation as needed.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload products safely.
  • Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and company policies while promoting a culture of workplace safety.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
  • Support warehouse, yard, and delivery operations as assigned.
