Denali is the leading organic recycling company on a mission to unlock the power of unused food and organics, transforming them into resources to feed, fuel and replenish the earth. This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others. The Class A CDL Route Driver will be responsible for loading, hauling, and delivering food waste on intra- and interstate routes with multiple stops ranging from 15-25 per day. Delivery equipment ranges from 30-45' open-top dump trailers. The driver will operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles by DOT requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws. They will also operate a manual or electric pallet jack as needed, utilize a pressure washer to rinse bins and containers, and perform pre- and post-trip inspections. Basic repairs of company bins and equipment using hand tools, maintenance of basic truck equipment, and overall cleanliness of equipment are also part of the role. The driver will utilize the electronic logging system for DOT driver logs and maintain paperwork such as contamination and service tickets, and truck maintenance. Regular communication with customers, vendors, and the corporate office/operations team is expected. All accidents and injuries must be reported immediately to the safety manager. The role requires the ability to work flexible hours based on seasonality, up to 60 hours in a 7-day week or 70 hours in 8 days, and attend and participate in weekly safety calls, trainings, or briefings. Basic usage of computer and cell phone for training, communication, and expense management is also required. Drivers may be scheduled to work a different assignment, including interstate routes, regardless of any regularly scheduled service route assignment.
