Class A Drop and Hook Driver
About The Position
Lakin Tire East, a Liberty Tire Recycling company, is seeking a Class A Driver to run drop-and-hook routes from its West Haven, Connecticut facility. Routes service depots in Albany, New York; Lakewood, New Jersey; and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The position is on the second shift, Monday through Friday, with some required Saturdays. Start time is flexible between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. The driver performs daily equipment inspections in accordance with DOT regulations, works in different weather conditions, and attends transportation safety meetings. Compensation is $70,000–$80,000 annually, paid weekly, with overtime after 40 hours.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- At least 6 months of experience.
- Maintain a clean driving record that aligns with DOT standards.
- Pass a DOT physical and drug test.
Nice To Haves
- One year of commercial driving experience or equivalent military experience.
