About The Position

The Class A Driver operates a commercial motor vehicle to deliver products in varied traffic and weather conditions. The role includes inspecting the vehicle and verifying its load before departure, completing required paperwork, and collecting and submitting invoices or payments when needed. Drivers load and unload products, maintain required DOT certifications and compliance with the company safety program, develop knowledge of products, inventory controls, and procedures, and provide exceptional customer service. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Valid, non-expired interstate Medical Card.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds regularly.
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and walk, as well as sit for long periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English within the context of the job and safety requirements.
• Ability to comply with truck driving rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must meet or exceed minimum requirements established by Quirch Foods and FMCSR.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle to deliver products in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure the correct products are on the truck before departure.
• Complete required paperwork and collect and submit invoices, checks, and/or cash when required.
• Load and unload products for customers.
• Maintain required DOT certifications and comply with the company safety program.
• Develop expertise in products, inventory controls, and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
