About The Position

Bunzl is hiring a Class A Driver to safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicle and deliver goods to customer locations. Drivers serve as company ambassadors and key customer contacts. The role includes local and long-distance deliveries, vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting, cargo handling, and completing required logs and paperwork while complying with traffic laws, safety regulations, company policies, and DOT and ELD requirements. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a 4:30 a.m. start time. The listed pay rate is $32.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record based on Bunzl fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading and unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver goods to customer locations in a timely and safe manner, both locally and over long distances.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and submit logs and paperwork on time.
• Manage cargo loading and unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained and promptly report issues to management.
